Get over the winter blues and spring into shape!

My latest workout DVD, which will launch next winter, is called “Slim and De-Stress.” Think of the initials S.A.D. in my title to replace Seasonal Affective Disorder, also know as S.A.D. The new workout is 30 minutes of high intensity interval training, also known as HIIT. I use plyometric moves with winter themes, like snow angels, snowflakes, snowballs, the nordic track, ski lunges, mountain climbers, speed skaters and more.

The best part? It’s shot on location at a Caribbean beach so your mind gets a vacation, and some sunshine, while your body gets a de-stressing, endorphin-boosting workout.

Check out a preview of the SAD workout in this segment I did on WCBS/WLNY’s “The Couch” in New York. It was a lot of fun and laughs, which is what getting over S.A.D is all about. Now try it and “spring” into shape and warmer weather ahead.

It’s the time of year when winter seems like it has gone on forever. The dark, cold days make you tired and sometimes depressed. Seasonal Affective Disorder is a serious condition and there are ways that doctors can treat it, with light therapy for example.

If you feel tired and just need a winter workout that heats you up and gives you a “cardio high” try my winter-themed cardiosulpt moves like:

–Nordic Track
–Scissor Ski Lunges
